What happened to New Orleans, Kansas City, St. Louis, and Chicage forms of Dixieland Jazz,these are true JAZZZZZZ.

Big band's my favorite. Although swing is a close second.

I agree with Old Lou. Maybe it's just my age but when I was younger I thought of Dixieland as corny and not very inventive. I used to think that guys like Dizzy and Maynard, and big bands like Stan Kenton was where it was at. Lately however I've come to realize that guys like Louis Armstrong, Bix Beiderbecke, and Bobby Hackett played great jazz, and they didn't have to play quadruple high C's to impress everyone.
