Conn V-1s resale price?I've noticed that new V-1s cost about $1500. The resale price for a like-new one is mostly from 500-$900. Is it just me or do the V-1s resale for a considerable percentage less than most other pro horns?

I think that this is because not as many people are looking for COnns as for the other pro level horns. Fred Powell did one heck of a job when he designed the V1 and it may be Conns last hurrah. Fred left UMI/Conn this year and I can't see a second generation of the V1 being as good as teh first generation.
I have heard that Springfield Music in Missouri has great prices on the V1 lines. There is also a gold plated V1 that has been on the trumpetherald.com marketplace for about a month.

They may not be in as much demand, but they're still great horns. Many people prefer them over Strads,Xenos etc.

Very true, and for good reason. If you want a good one you better get it now before they play with Fred Powell's design.
