Schilke S42L "Faddis" model

Has anyone here had any experience with the Schilke S42L "Faddis" model trumpet? I heard it has one of the easiest high regisers. Sam

I played one at the Schilke factory. Using a Bach 3C MP, I was able to get into the high register with more ease than anything else that I have tried.

Would I buy one. No. The gold plating looks terrible after extended use as gold is far softer than silver and shows scratches that are hard to see on a silver plated horn. (I purchased one used and sent it back.) The removable bell feels odd. The idea is to not use the tuning slide for tuning, but use the bell. This makes for an imbalance that I could not get use to . Not haveing a water valve is silly.

I am sticking to a stock S42 and will get 90% of the benefit of the S42L Fadius..
