What do you use on your slides?

I use brasso to clean and then apply Lava soap. What do you use?

to lube, it's usually schilke slide grease after a wipe down.
nothing wrong with vaseline, but it does wear away guickly.
if a slide needs a serious gunk-off i use lava soap.

The best stuff to use,I have found, is lanolin mixed with wheel bearing grease. It lasts a really long time and make my trumpets slides like trombone slides! It's great and can be found in hardware and pharmacies.

I use a lanolin based slide grease for the main tuning slide, and I use Superslick trombone slide cream on my first and third valve slide. Works like a dream!
