Hello Everyone. I had awhile back bought a nice brass King Master cornet. It was a 1946-47 model. It came with a near new #7 Bach Mount Vernon New York cornet mouthpiece. And a #7G not a #7C Mount Vernon New York cornet mouthpiece. I sadly sold it off with another King Master cornet I had. To Japan. It was showing plate wear but was not pitted in anyway. It really played well in the mid to high range. Closest Bach today in looks is a 8C Bach. But the 7G rim was less wide and half as shallow. I do not see one listed on the Kanstul Comparator. Have any of you fellows ever seen heard of or played one? I may have made a mistake in letting it go. Hey maybe buyer will let Yamaha make a copy of it. I had thought of calling Kanstul or Curry and see if they wanted to make a copy. I posted this article on the other sites. But did not put in the mouthpiece sections and got little responce. So in my selling the King sweeten the pot with a rare mouthpiece included. Oh well to the Victor goes the spoils.
