A new trumpet chat site ..cool
hi all
I suppose I should tell you something about me
well I am 49 years young and a come back player for about 9 months,
now playing in our local brass band. I had stopped playing about 20 years ago,as the brass playing world is very limited in Australia and i needed a career to pay the bills etc, in the last 20 years I was living in the top end
of Australia in remote locations surveying.
Now that I have joined the so called civilization I am really enjoy playing and hadn't realized how much i have missed it.
I am practising a lot more now than i had before and get a kick out of it when things go well and frustrated at times when things go slower than i wish.Playing in the brass band is ok but not my true love but it gives me somewhere to play with others and this I say thank you. I really love playing the old time big band stuff and maybe later i will venture there.
I have brought a range of vintage instruments in this time
a renolds 1945
a benge3x la 1976
a holton revelation 1929
a antoine courtois 1960s
a bossey and hawks soverion 1980s a great cornet
and my fav a king super 20 symphony 1959 totally restored.
and will buy more in the future as i am enjoy investigating the history of the instruments and i seem to have the collectors bug.
well i must sign off for know .
cheers chenzo _________________ May the trumpet gods smile, and play sweet sounds upon us all |
